Is Canada going to participate in Syrian war?

The answer is yes. The participation will be covert. King Harper is not sit and just watch it. He doesn’t want silly discussions in the Canadian Parliament - there he is in favour of pro-rogue.

HMCS Toronto

"Military sources tell CTV News it would take at least a week to get Canadian assets into the area, when a precision strike could be just days away.

Canada is capable of taking over U.S. military tasks in some locations to free up American resources. Canada could also provide capabilities like transport and refuelling……

The Canadian warship HMCS Toronto is currently near the Gulf of Oman, deployed on a counter terrorism mission known as CTF-150. The Canadian government could make the decision to redeploy the ship to the Mediterranean. Once there, the frigate could take over duties from an American ship, freeing the U.S. vessel to move toward Syria.

The Air Force is capable of providing strategic-lift C-17s to transport troops, equipment and ammunition for any potential action against Syria. Military sources and civilian analysts suggest this may be the most likely contribution by Canada."

U.S., Britain and Israel have used chemical weapons in the last 10 years

When the U.S, Britain and Israel uses these chemical weapons then it is okay. There is no repercussions. However, if any other country uses it then it is a crime against humanity. Hypocrisy and double talk.

The U.S used chemical weapons against civilians in Iraq in 2004. Israel used chemical weapons against Palestinians repeatedly and there is evidence that Britain did the same in last decade.

an Israeli strike using phosphorus shells at a UN school.

"But the U.S. used chemical weapons against civilians in Iraq in 2004."

"Israeli also used white phosphorous in 2009 during “Operation Cast Lead” (and perhaps subsequently). Israel ratified Protocol III of Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons (“Protocol III”) – which outlaws the use of incendiary devices in war – in 2007. So this was a war crime."

"Moreover, the U.S. and Britain have been dropping depleted uranium in virtually every country they fight, which causes severe health problems."

This does not justify the chemical weapons but these double standards are very troubling.

North Korea and robotic army

Almost all countries do a good job of brainwashing their soldiers - its all for patriotism and thus killing the enemy is justified. However, dictatorial governments do even a better job. North Korea is a good example. The picture below puts some light on this phenomena.

We are all Martians. A rock brought us on earth. I don't know about rest of us but Harper and company definitely came from the Mars and have not fully adjusted on earth.:)

"The evidence seems to be building that we are actually all Martians; that life started on Mars and came to Earth on a rock," Steven Benner, a chemist at the Florida-based Foundation for Applied Molecular Evolution, said in a news release. What's more, recent studies suggest that the conditions suitable for the origin of life "may still exist on Mars," he said.

A missile attack on Syria will further perpetuate the civil war

According to Clare Short, Former Secretary of State for International Development, it will be a blunder to carry out a missile attack on Syria. In a column in The Huffington Post she writes:

"It is notable that the Finnish Institute for Verification of the Chemical Weapons Convention said after the Damascus attack, that it did not look like military strength toxins because otherwise those who help the injured would have had to wear protective clothing. Other experts have said that sarin gas is not difficult to manufacture. It is also significant that in recent months, the Syrian regime has made advances in the fighting and the opposition has lost ground. This is a strange time for the regime to use chemical weapons but a good time for the opposition to claim this if they can persuade the West to take action and therefore weaken the regime's military capability. We must also be clear that there are some very nasty, Al Qaeda linked elements now fighting on the opposition side in Syria who have been accused of atrocities and warcrimes."

Barack Obama and Martin Luther King

Was Obama a suitable person to give a speech on the 50th anniversary of MLK's "I have a dream" speech? MLK may have his own weaknesses as he was human after all, but he was not a hypocrite like Obama.

It was Martin Luther King's efforts and Lyndon Johnson's co-operation that brought about the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act, which were signed by Lyndon Johnson. However, when it came to the Vietnam war, Martin Luther King spoke out loud and clear that it was an unjust war where innocent people were being killed and American soldiers were losing their lives, all for an unjust war. It made relations between Lyndon Johnson and Martin Luther King very tense. However, it is clear that Martin Luther King believed in the rights of all people whether they were Vietnamese or American.

That is not the case with Obama. He is a big hypocrite. On the one hand he talks about human rights, on the other hand he continues to kill innocent people in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen and during Iraq war, using drones or air strikes by warplanes. When children and women are killed by drone attacks all the Obama administration says is that they are sorry. Does this 'sorry' wipe out the guilt for killing innocent civilians? He must give back his Noble Peace Prize as he does not deserve it. Now he is all set to launch air strikes against Syria. However, it is not going to be easy. The British Parliament is not going along with Cameron. Moreover, Putin is moving some of his navy ships into the Mediterranean and closer to Syria.

Then we have Stephen Harper who wants to by-pass the Parliament and go along with Americans. He is still for pro-rogue.

It is true that what Assad of Syria is doing is totally wrong, but will an invasion of Syria solve this problem or further aggravate it? It is hard to tell.

An attack on Syria may result in a much bigger war if Russia tries to intervene and Iran may decide to participate against the U.S. and Israel. It does not look like an easy problem to resolve.

Mike Duffy Expenses: The plot thickens

CTV explains with more specificity after senators David Tkachuk and Carolyn Stewart Olsen denied any involvement with Mike Duffy's expenses affair and the payment by Nigel Wright to cover Duffy's $90,000 expenses.

Carolyn Stewart and Olsen David Tkachuk

"But CTV News never reported that the senators knew about Wright’s $90,000 cheque to Duffy. CTV News has seen emails showing an organized effort by the Prime Minister’s Office and the senior Conservative senators to coerce Duffy into publicly declaring he’d repay money owed to taxpayers.

In the emails, Tkachuk stated that if the money was not repaid he could use his majority in the senate steering committee, which was overseeing the audit, to remove Duffy from the Senate as he was not seen as a resident of Prince Edward Island. Tkachuk allegedly told Duffy that if he agreed to co-operate and repay his debt to taxpayers, the Senate committee would throw out the residency issue and go easy on him in the audit of his expenses. That conversation was followed up by a phone call by Wright, reiterating what Tkachuk had said.

CTV also spends a few moments with Mr. Duffy on camera outside his residence in PEI, in which he basically repeats a statement he released yesterday to Global.

“It would be inappropriate for me to comment while these issues are being examined by the RCMP,” Duffy said in an email. “I feel confident that in the fullness of time the authorities will find – as did the independent auditors at Deloitte – that my expense claims do not merit criticism.”

Power Struggle: Putin, Russia and the West

I watched a documentary last night on "Putin, Russia and the West." It is an amazing story of power struggle between Russia and America. It revealed that how these two nations are trying to control the world politics, regime changes etc. Here is a small clip from the documentary:

"Even after eight years as President of Russia and four more as Prime Minister, Vladimir Putin ran for office again and in March 2012 won the Presidency in elections that are widely seen as fraudulent. Thousands have taken to the streets in protest. Putin, Russia and the West tells the inside story of one of the world’s most powerful men, a former KGB spy who made himself a valued ally of the West. How did he do it? And what made Washington and London eventually turn against him? For the first time Putin’s top colleagues - and the Western statesmen who eventually clashed with him - tell the inside story of the Russian leader’s role in shaping the world in the 21st century, including the prophetic warning about the Taliban that Putin delivered to President Bush three months before the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

In 2009, newly elected American President Barrack Obama set out to reset relations with Russia. Ignoring Putin, whom many considered still in charge, he concentrated on Medvedev. Top officials on both sides take viewers deep inside negotiations to cut their countries nuclear arsenal in half. They describe how a phone call between the two young lawyer-presidents finally clinched the agreement. Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov says: ‘No previous treaty between our Countries has ever been directly negotiated by our Presidents. But inside Russia, Medvedev has a harder time and in the end, he stepped aside and nominated Putin to be their party’s presidential candidate for the 2012 election. Top Kremlin insiders, including Medvedev and Putin, tell the how the deal was done – and how it set in motion a process that made Vladimir Putin look vulnerable for the first time."

Chris Hayes: "But tonight we begin with a man who I believe is the most dangerous politician on the American right. In October 2007 I sat in the media gallery of the United States Supreme Court and watched the solicitor general of Texas argue on behalf of the state that he should have the ability to put to death a Mexican national, José, who had been convicted of raping and murdering two teenage girls in Houston. He won that argument and he was executed by Texas on august 5th, 2008, despite the objections of the United Nations and the international court of justice.

At the time, I had no idea who this man arguing on behalf of Texas was. But all I could think was holy crap, this guy is good. It was one of his nine times arguing before the Supreme Court and he was witty, incredibly fast on his feet and clearly had a brilliant legal mind. It is to this day one of the most impressive displays I have ever seen before the court and I have had the good fortune to spend a lot of time there.

So you can imagine my horror in 2012 when I tuned into the Texas senate race. I hadn't been paying much attention to. And realized that lieutenant governor David Dewhurst, the Republican establishment candidate, was being prepared by a tea party candidate who was the same guy I saw kick ass in the Supreme Court in 2007. .. that night I made that connection, oh, this is trouble. And trouble that man has been. Trouble in every direction. As he vies to be the singular voice of the right wing grassroots and as he has very quickly assumed a leadership role in movement.

He’s a man who combines the intellectual credentials and pedigree of Barack Obama, with the raw right wing populist appeal of Sarah Palin. His full name is Rafael Edward Cruz. He was born in Calgary, Alberta, in Canada.

We learn this week when he released his birth certificate to the Dallas morning news. He’s 42 years old. Born in Canada to an American mother, likely a dual citizen of Canada and the United States. Something the senator from Texas seemed shocked and upset by. Late last night in a response to the story revealing the likelihood of him having dual citizenship, "I will renounce any Canadian citizenship. Nothing against Canada, but I’m an American by birth. as a U.S. senator, I believe I should be only an American."

NBC’s Ann Curry recently traveled to one of the most breathtaking places on earth where folks are seeing their way of life disappear before their eyes.

The key finding in this leaked draft report is that it's “extremely likely, as in greater than 95%, that human activity is the main cause of the planet's temperature rise in the last 60 years.” News team went looking for answers in a place where the ice melt is unprecedented.

At the top of the world in arctic, Greenland, scientists like Dr. Jason Box study the icy landscape. He says all this might be lost to climate change mostly caused by humans burning fossil fuels.

There’s no debate, it's really quite simple. We’ve overloaded the atmosphere with trapping gas, and the rest are just details.

The new report from the intergovernmental panel on climate change seems to confirm what Box and other scientists have been warning long before."

The U.S is one of the richest countries in the world but poverty is aplenty. I was in New York, Manhattan area, and I could not walk a street without being accosted by beggars. These beggars don't ask for money, they demand it. If you don't give them a quarter or 50 cents some may spit on you.

George W. Bush spent $2 trillion, trillion with 't', imagine how many people could have been fed with that money and provided shelter.

Chris Hayes of MSNBC on Global Warming

Chris Hayes did a documentary on Global Warming on August 16, 2013. I watched it and it is an eye-opener. Since then I have been looking for clips of this documentary but MSNBC has not posted them yet. I found this clip where Chris Hayes discusses his views with Michael Smerconish of MSNBC.

More videos from Egypt -Mayham

WARNING: GRAPHIC CONTENT

U.S self-interest and why it will not interfere to stop Egyptian military from massacring the civilians.

WASHINGTON — The U.S. military is heavily dependent on Egypt to move personnel and equipment to Afghanistan and around volatile parts of the Middle East, complicating U.S. efforts to place pressure on the Egyptian military in the wake of its violent crackdown on protesters.

"Egypt has been a cornerstone for the U.S. military presence in the Middle East," said James Phillips, an analyst at the Heritage Foundation.

During the past year, more than 2,000 U.S. military aircraft flew through Egyptian airspace, supporting missions in Afghanistan and throughout the Middle East, according to U.S. Central Command, which is responsible for the region.

Nicotine is not addictive?

It was more than two decades ago when tobacco companies were defending cigarette-smoking. Now opponents of global warming are not much different. They will say maybe under oath that greenhouse gases don't create global warming.

Oil/gas companies such as Exon-mobile spend hundreds of millions of dollars on groups who will deny global warming.

Premier David Alward's ad. promoting Alberta oil pipeline

That should make Alberta happy. New Brunswickers? I don't know. I saw the ad last night and I was taken aback. I knew he supported the pipeline but to give a lengthy commercial on t.v, at the cost of $90,000.00, he has taken it on another level. He is sold out to big oil companies. Has he heard about the environmental consequences? I suppose he does not care as long as he can hobnob with big oil companies and receive admiration from the Premier, Alison Redford, of Alberta.

"The province has purchased $75,000 of airtime to run the one-minute commercial which features David Alward talking positively about the economy in the wake of TransCanada’s announcement of plans to build an oil pipeline from Alberta to New Brunswick." CBC News.

Chris Hayes: On global warming - an upcomming documentary

Chris Hayes is a very well informed gentleman. I watch his program "All In" on MSNBC whenever I get a chance. His program provides critical analysis of U.S politics and other public issues. His upcoming documentary on Global warming will be worth watching.

“The Politics of Power,” Chris Hayes declares: “Climate change is a problem without borders; and developing countries are feeling the heat even more than the first world.”

North Korea: Interesting pictures

Every summer the North Koreans hold the Arirang games, or "mass games," where perhaps as many as 100,000 performers dance and do gymnastics to a patriotic theme. The real stars of the show may be these boys: the flashcard flippers, who with split-second precision form colorful mosaics. But this is what the boys behind the cards look like before the extravaganza begins: thousands of them — all dressed in white with their stacks of cards. The boys reportedly rehearse for months to get their moves down. If you look closely, you will find some taking a pre-"games" nap on their cards.

The Arirang games flashcard mosaics usually have patriotic themes. This year's theme highlights the exploits of North Korean soldiers in the 1950-1953 war. What you don't see on television or even across May Day stadium, unless you have a long camera lens or binoculars, are the heads of some of the boys popping up above their flashcards. I'm not sure if they were allowed to peek, but perhaps they wanted to see the big show on the field for themselves.

Children are trained early in life to admire their leader - or program their brains and hypnotize them. You can see more pictures on the NBC site here.

Vinnie Paz – End of Days Lyrics

It's like we all know what's going down
But no one's saying shit, what happened to the home of the brave?
These motherfuckers they're controlling us now
But no one's talking about it, made us modern day slaves

And everybody's just walking around
Head in the clouds, we won't awake until we're dead in the grave
By then it's too late, we need to be ready to raise up
Welcome to the end of days
