Aliens: Do they exist?

According to a 1950 FBI report, they do. Please watch the following video.

In this case the saucer was recovered and aliens died. However, in the 1980s, in another alien landing, an alien escaped. Rumours are that he lives under the alias of Stephen Harper and that he lives in Canada. If you know this person or heard of him please do get in touch with FBI. :)

"One Nation Under The Gun": Gun Deaths Since Sandy Hook

This article clearly highlights why real gun control legislation is needed in the United States, the number of gun deaths is staggering, "In the 98 days since (Sandy Hook), guns have killed at least 2,243 more people."

How many more people will have to die senseless deaths from guns before real action is taken to stop these tragedies? The map below illustrates this situation:

You can also check out the map here, by clicking on this link and then clicking "Next." This map keeps a running account of the gun deaths across the United States since the tragic Sandy Hook shootings, visually displaying the mounting violence across the country.

Barack Obama visits Israel

Obama is reporting to his boss Benjamin Netanyahu.

It is baffling how a small country like Israel has so much influence over Obama, Harper and many European leaders.

These very leaders complain and criticize Syria, and before that Libya, and provide help to overthrow their leaders. Yet no complaint about Israel's atrocities against Palestine and other neighbouring countries.

Water on Earth from Asteroids and Comets

Last night I watched a documentary on the CBC. The documentary pointed out that life on earth could be wiped out by one big asteroid hitting our planet. However, it was the asteroids and comets that brought water to the earth.

In the past scientists thought that water already existed deep inside the earth in the form of steam and that steam escaped as the earth cooled and, ultimately, that steam took the form of water.

Watching this documentary one gets the impression that the earth was built methodically over billions of years. However, it does not answer the question as to whether the universe and life which exists today is a result of a big bang or a creator methodically creating it over trillions of years. For me, it is all a mystery.

Marc Garneau Quits and Backs Justin Trudeau

Marc Garneau confirmed he's dropping out of the federal Liberal leadership race at a press conference in Ottawa.
Garneau said he spoke with Bob Rae and Justin Trudeau Tuesday night and informed them of his decision.

Garneau said Trudeau is the clear winner of the race based on his analysis of the numbers. While he felt he would come in second place, Garneau said he was in it to win and that wasn't about to happen.

"I entered this race believing I had a chance to win," he said. "Justin is about to win a decisive victory."
Garneau said in French that Trudeau has proven he can rally people and bring them to the party, so he chose to "give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar."

Garneau added, "I will be a loyal Liberal and I will work for the party and the new leader in whatever capacity they choose."

Palestinians Need Their Rosa Parks

There has been great progress, great steps forward worldwide, in human and civil rights. In the United States, people like Rosa Parks, Martin Luther King, John Lewis, and others fought a hard battle against racial segregation - and for equal rights, such as voting - in the 1950s and 1960s, making great strides for African-Americans. These struggles paved the way, four decades later, for the election of the first African-American president, Barack Obama.

In South Africa, Nelson Mandela, who was imprisoned for almost thirty years for standing up against apartheid, would oversee the end of this appalling system of discrimination and become South Africa's first post-apartheid president.

So why, with all this progress, does Israel continue to lag behind. With all the struggles and accomplishments in recent history, Israel remains a throwback to earlier days in treatment and segregation of Palestinians.

The headline of this story puts it very well, on the creation of a "Palestinian-only" bus in Israel, that a Palestinian Rosa Parks is needed.

Many Israelis are appalled at this blatant segregation and discrimination, as seen in the above-mentioned story. When will the Israeli government act, when will they come into the 21st century?

Benjamin Netanyahu will not watch Oscar- Nominated documentary ‘The Gatekeepers’

Former heads of Shin Bet, an Israeli Security Agency, are critical of Israeli tactics towards the Palestinians and other Arab neighbours in this documentary. One such former head of the agency has compared Israeli tactics to Second World War Nazi tactics. It is remarkable that such condemning views were expressed by the former Israeli heads of spy agency.

Tom Flanagan, Dropped by the University of Calgary...

...and rightly so. Flanagan thinks viewing child pornography is a liberty issue? What about the victims, the children? There is a great column on this by the Toronto Star's Heather Mallick, rightly title "Flanagan puts personal liberty ahead of victims' pain." How on earth can Flanagan neglect the victims in what is rightly a criminal act? Flanagan has received a lot of backlash over this, and rightly so.

This guy has advised the Wildrose Alliance party in Alberta and Stephen Harper, current Conservative prime minister. Are these the kinds of people CON-artists have in their inner circle? Flanagan's earlier remarks on other issues - such as denying the existance of First Nations rights - shows his crass indifference to human suffering.

The University of Calgary president was right to condemn Flanagan's remarks. Liberty is important, but not when it comes at the expense of others, especially not when those victimized are young children, robbed of their innocence.
