Donald Trump and Glenn Beck: What they have in common?

They’re both crazy. Because of his craziness Glenn Beck started losing sponsors for his Fox TV show. Fox is giving Beck a pink slip. Now Trump is losing his sponsors for his NBC TV show Apprentice. Is NBC going to do the same what Fox did to Beck?

And then there is the professor. The choice is yours.

UPDATE: Professor Ignatieff will give you more money for education, $1000 per year for four years, when you go to university. Sounds good, more people get educated.

Donald Trump and Mob Connections

“In his 2000 book, “The America That We Deserve,” released to coincide with an earlier prospective presidential campaign, Trump boasted:”

“One thing you can say about Trump, as the holder of a casino gaming license, is that I’m 100 percent clean -- something you can’t say with certainty about our current group of presidential candidates.”

What are the facts?. The story in The Huffington Post
is quite revealing. The Trump plot thickens.

Obama’s birth certificate is a fake

As birthers will come up with new questions. Here are some of the questions which will be raised according to
The Huffington Post. :)

Click on the picture for a bigger view.

Update: Is it possible that the certificate is genuine but the guy in the Whitehouse is an imposter? The real Obama went to Indonesia, went to madrasas and now preaches in a big mosque. He has been given a lot of dough to remain silent. :)
This birther thing is nothing more than flagrant racism.

Donald Trump and Mob ties. A good story.

"God" Died

Many Indians considered him God.

“..an Indian religious leader revered by millions for spiritual and healing powers but dismissed by some as a charlatan who passed off magic tricks as miracles.”

He performed miracles and saved people’s lives but could not save his own. These types of beliefs give religion a bad name.

“Sai Baba's death Sunday triggered an outpouring of grief from followers who included Indian politicians, movie stars, athletes and industrialists.”

“Most remembered him as a pious, selfless person who worked to help others with the billions of dollars donated to his charitable trust.” Now those qualities one can admire.

Retirement Home for Dictators?

A novel idea by Peter Beeching.

“So here’s a proposal: As an alternative to the International Criminal Court, let the United Nations find a modestly sized island capable of sustaining life, and pass an international treaty designating it as a drop haven, a final refuge, for people like Qaddafi with no place else to go A place where exiled dictators can have the chance to retire with what little dignity they can muster. But let the place be closely monitored to prevent escape or outside contact. The world learned the lesson of Napoleon at Elba – something St. Helena cured.”

For your Monday smile

I was waiting in an office to see someone and I picked up and started reading Reader's Digest "laughter is the best medicine" section; I came across this funny one.

The Lawyer, Doctor, and Priest Adrift on the Ocean

A doctor, a priest, and a lawyer are adrift on a raft in the south Pacific. They're just about out of water, food, and hope, when they spot a small island. Only problem is, between the raft and the island is a large hungry school of tiger sharks.

The doctor insists, "I'll swim for the island and bring back coconuts and maybe even help. If the sharks attack me, with my medical knowledge I'll be able to tend to my wounds." The priest says, "No, no, my son, I shall swim for the island. I will pray as soon as I hit the water, and with my connections I'm sure to make it."

While the doctor and priest are arguing over who is to go, the lawyer dives into the water and swims toward the island. Miraculously, the sharks move away and clear a path for the attorney. A little while later, the barrister returns to the raft with a lovely bunch of coconuts. And again the sharks clear a path for him.

He finally gets to the raft and the bewildered doctor and priest ask him what was the source of this miracle.

He replied, "Professional courtesy, of course!"

Canadian Election 2011 debates

As you all know there were two debates. One in English and the other in French. Other than language were there any other differences? I did not notice any as far as content is concerned. Oh yes! Harper wore a red tie, same as Ignatieff, for the English debate but for the French debate Harper chose to wear a blue tie.

I don’t think there was any winner or loser. They all did fairly well for their own supporters but I don’t think they changed any minds as far as voters are concerned.

Hillary Clinton: Middle East Reform '(Democracy? Or) Just A Mirage In The Desert'

"Will the people and leaders of the Middle East and North Africa pursue a new, more inclusive approach to solving the region's persistent political, economic and social challenges ?Will they consolidate the progress of recent weeks and address long-denied aspirations for dignity and opportunity? Or, …in one year or five years or 10, will we have seen the prospects for reform fade and remember this moment as just a mirage in the desert?"

Looks more like a mirage. Changes at the top will make no difference. For a democratic society a new institutional structure needs to evolve in order to realize the dream of democracy.

More Tar Sands. This time in Utah. Alberta-based Earth Energy Resources Inc will be involved.

“SALT LAKE CITY -- Beneath the lush, green hills of eastern Utah's Uinta Basin, where elk, bear and bison outnumber people, the soil is saturated with a sticky tar that may soon provide a new domestic source of petroleum for the United States.”

Terry Jones - More Riots in Afghanistan

What the hell is wrong with this moron? What is it that he doesn't understand? Burning a holy book will bring a lot of trouble. Last year, when Terry Jones wanted to burn Koran, the President of the United States, Secretary of State, and Joint Chief of Staff all warned that this was a dangerous thing to do, that it would endanger American and allied soldiers in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Iraq.

This man is supposed to be educated, I watched a CNN interview where the host referred to him as DOCTOR Jones. Shouldn't Terry Jones know better? Why is he behaving in this criminal manner?

Part of the problem, unfortunately, is that the literacy rate in Afghanistan is not very high. Thus the Afghan people are easily incited on matters of religion. Religion is near and dear to the Afghan people - as it is to many people in poor and hopeless situations where faith is one of the few refuges available.

Terry Jones does not seem to understand the problems he is creating. I do not think the United States government should let it go, calling it just free expression. Terry Jones is spreading hatred and he should be criminally charged as he is directly responsible for the killings in Afghanistan; something that may spread to other parts of the Muslim world.
