Stephen Harper Wants His Queen Back

During the visit of Will and Kate, a picture of the Queen was borrowed from the Cabinet Office of Stephen Harper. Now he's very upset that it has not been returned yet.

The front-page headline on HuffPost was, "Harper wants his Queen back." If he likes his Queen so much, why doesn't he go to Buckingham Palace? I'm sure the Queen will spare him a room to stay and he will be happy, and Canadians will be very happy that we got him off our backs.

Please Queen, take your fan away.

US/NATO Attack Kills 24 Pakistani Soldiers

It's a very scary incident, which makes America's already strained relations with Pakistan even worse. Some Pakistanis are talking about retaliation, I hope there is none. Pakistan is a nuclear power and if those nukes get into the wrong hands, God help us. It would be a very dangerous situation.

I think it is extremely important that US-NATO is very careful crossing borders and bombing indiscriminately. One, it violates the sovereignty of Pakistan, and second people's lives are taken, especially when you attack military establishments in Pakistan (a supposed ally).

That reminds me of the recent GOP debate on November 22nd. It was amazing how most of the candidates gave the impression that the only legitimate government in the world was the United States, that it was up to America how countries in the Middle East, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and North Africa, are governed.

In other words, they gave the impression that they are the world's rulers. The only person who came across as sensible was Ron Paul, he kept reminding the other candidates that these are sovereign countries, to let them resolve their own problems, especially as America had enough of its own problems domestically.

An interesting statement of Ron Paul's was that if the US had not stationed its forces on sacred Muslim sites in Saudi Arabia, 9/11 would probably have not happened. It looks in all this that anyone who makes any sense is Ron Paul, but unfortunately it does not look he will come anywhere close to being the GOP nominee.

If we want peace in the world, US and NATO should minimize their interventions in the governing of other countries.

Mitt Romney: Flip Flop Champion

Flip flopping is not easy. It is hard on poor Romney and he should get an Oscar for his performance.

"With Romney's positions evolving on everything from abortion to gay rights, embryonic stem cell research to health care, the Republican presidential candidate has faced charges of political opportunism from Republicans and Democrats alike."

Stephen Harper’s New Air-Bus made to his order

Suggested Air-Bus.

“The Prime Minister's grey aircraft, an Airbus A-310, which is designated as a CC-150 Polaris, has been slotted for a fresh paint job in August 2013 and sketches of the new design are currently being tossed around the Department Of National Defence, the Privy Council Office and the Prime Minister's Office.”

Yucky Goo

After looking at this picture would you be able to eat the final product?

Believe it or not this goo is for chicken nuggets which you might eat at fast food outlets. After seeing this I sure won’t be able to eat this delicacy!

Missing Stephen

This was a headline in the Huffpost. As usual Stephen Harper missed one of the photo-ops at APEC. He would pay billions of taxpayers’ money (G-8 and G-20 in Canada) for a photo-op but on the world stage, at times, he goes missing. Maybe he was in the bathroom again. He badly needs adult diapers.

CBS Republican Debate

I am not a fan of the Republican Party and would not vote for any of the candidates running for the nomination. That being said, the way the moderators treated them - being rude to them, abruptly cutting them off (even in one case where Romney had more time) was uncalled for.

I suspect the moderators were angry, but they were misdirecting their anger. The likely reason the moderators were angry? CBS only showed the first hour of the debate on television, with the rest of it only being available on the internet. Why would they do that? I have never heard of that - why only televise part of the debate? I guess the crime drama that followed was more important to CBS executives than America's future.

CBS used to be THE network for news and information during the days of Walter Cronkite and Dan Rather. Now... it's been going further and further downhill, and things like this show why. There desperately needs to be new management at CBS.

Also, I'm not the only one unimpressed by CBS's performance.

Horrific Story About Eugenics Program in North Carolina

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

This story is unbelievable, eugenics existed up to 1970 in North Carolina, that is not very long ago. The program of forced sterilizations was directed largely against blacks - using bogus-science to carry out what essentially amounted to a form of ethnic cleansing.

It is horrific to watch this. It makes one realize that some very inhuman acts went on in North Carolina and in North America - as there were eugenics programs in other jurisdictions too, including Alberta here in Canada.

Rush Limbaugh’s take on Sharon Bialek

As you know Sharon Bialek is the latest accuser of Herman Cain for sexual harassment or even sexual assault. Limbaugh pronounces her name as Buy-a lick and makes fun of her. This guy is a big crazy himself.
As my previous posts show, I am no fan of Cain but this Bialek lady does not sound that credible. I watched her press-conference with her lawyer Gloria Allred. Bialek’s body language and facial expression show that may be she is making it all up. This might actually help Cain. Then her lawyer is well-known for taking salacious and sensational cases – it looks that to take any case it is a condition of hers that it must be salacious. She was involved with the Princess Diane case against Dodi Fayed and against O. J. Simpson involving Nicole Brown Simpson.

Stephen Harper’s concept of education

Build more prisons. He must have heard that prisons are universities for criminals. If young people with a minor crime are imprisoned for a fair length of time, they learn from the hardened criminals how to commit more crimes. Punishment and vindictiveness do not reduce crimes. They increase them.

Rehabilitation is more effective for the young who are imprisoned for minor infractions. However, Harper wants to build more prisons and incarcerate more people and then privatize prisons so that they become profit-making operations. It is a dangerous road to travel on.

The 61% of the Canadians who did not vote for this ego-megalomaniac, Stephen Harper, must speak up. His hidden agenda is no longer hidden.

Canadian Boats Seized by Israel

Gaza situation is one of the worst injustices in the world. Why Harper and other western leaders are not speaking out. They were fast to intervene in case of Libya. What happened to democracy and justice in case of Palestinians and Gaza? Israel is one of the worst human rights violators in the world.

Obama: A cruel and heartless killing

When Anwar al-Awlaki was killed by a drone in Yemen, his son Abdulrahman al-Awlaki, a 16-year-old born in Denver was killed too. It was a senseless and cruel killing. Obama is using these drones as his little toys. He should have some humanity as he has two children of his own.

I used to be an Obama supporter and I think that given Republican presidential candidates’s field he is still more qualified but these excursions will not help him. His biggest problem is the economy and he must concentrate on that if he wishes to win the elections in 2012.
