Global Warming and melting of Icebergs

Global warming is real and deniers must pay attention. It is an alarming change as sea-levels will be rising and the people living near the sea-shores will lose their homes. Also, people living near the arctic and similar areas are losing their way of life.

"A leaked report from one of the world's most prestigious group of scientists, winners of the Nobel Prize, has a lot of people taking notice because of the alarming conclusions about climate change. NBC’s Ann Curry recently traveled to one of the most breathtaking places on earth where folks are seeing their way of life disappear before their eyes.

The key finding in this leaked draft report is that it's “extremely likely, as in greater than 95%, that human activity is the main cause of the planet's temperature rise in the last 60 years.” News team went looking for answers in a place where the ice melt is unprecedented.

At the top of the world in arctic, Greenland, scientists like Dr. Jason Box study the icy landscape. He says all this might be lost to climate change mostly caused by humans burning fossil fuels.

There’s no debate, it's really quite simple. We’ve overloaded the atmosphere with trapping gas, and the rest are just details.

The new report from the intergovernmental panel on climate change seems to confirm what Box and other scientists have been warning long before."

  1. It is good to see the mainstream media finally starting to take this crisis seriously, LeDaro. I have a feeling (I hope I'm wrong)if this kind of report were on The National, Peter Mansbridge would make sure the denial side was equally represented.

  2. CBC and Peter Mansbidge are worried about funding cut. Harper has already done so. He rather make Sun News a public news source fully funded by his government - taxpayers.
