Nicolas Sarkozy: The Perks of Power
It is obvious from the picture above that why Sarkozy doesn’t want Muslim women to wear veils - so that he can pick and choose whose breasts he is going to grab next. The woman in the picture must sue the moron. He is not much different than Dominique Strauss-Kahn. Recommend this post

Nicolas Sarkozy and the two extremes

Sarkozy wants to ban the burqa in France. He thinks it is too repressive. Okay, maybe he has a point.
Then there is his wife Carla Bruni. She has bared it all and her nude photos are available all over the Internet. (It is my blog policy to not show completely nude photos, that is why I have covered it up appropriately) Is that not the other extreme? Okay, Ms. Bruni will say it is her body and she can do with it whatever she wishes including being nude. Give her that right. By the same token should not the Muslim women not be given their right to cover their bodies? This is their belief system and it is their right. It is not hurting anyone? Why not give them their freedom of expression? Why the double standard? Is this not repression by Sarkozy government if such legislation is implemented?
I will include Sarkozy's shenanigans as another one among human follies.

Burqini is hard on eyes in France

Nicolas Sarkozy has made it perfectly clear that he does not want women in burqa. He prefers them in the buff. That is why he is so madly in love with Carla Bruni who did pose nude for the world.
I was once on a beach where there were a lot of French families, I saw quite a few ladies in the buff. I will be untruthful if I didn't admit that I had the time of my life ;) I enjoyed this beach more than many others and I am a bit of a beachcomber.
But why can't we get along and respect each other's cultures. Now there is a big controversy over Burqini which covers the whole body except the face and a Muslim woman has been banned from a swimming pool in France because she must be in a regular swimsuit, preferably two piece. The excuse used is that the Burqini is unhygienic. Wow! Really? Can fabric material be infectious? A man or a woman can have a highly infectious disease on their private parts which can be easily covered by regular swimwear. Now are they going to require uncovering that too? So what is the big deal? People may have more germs and fungus on their feet than any other part. Because of these germs on the feet, the surrounding walking areas of pools are rampant with germs and people can easily get fungi disease between their toes. What happened to hygienic there? It is baloney.
What is the difference between a man who forces a woman to undress compared to the one who forces a woman to completely cover-up? In the case of this swimming pool a big scary man was interviewed who wanted a Muslim woman to uncover herself by wearing a traditional French swimsuit – a skimpy two-piece. Don't the women have their opinion too. Why not let them decide? If someone's belief calls for covering up then leave that person alone. Hypocrisy knows no boundaries and is indeed universal.

Stephen Harper at the G8
You are aware that Obama, Sarkozy and Berlusconi were having their jollies. So where was our great leader? Actually he was determined to get ready for the photo-op or maybe he was just sleepwalking or maybe streaking. You be the judge.

Nicolas Sarkozy and Burqa
What is with this guy? Why does he consider himself such an authority on religion and women.
When it comes to religion, I don't know who is right or wrong. However I will tell you a little story. When I started university, there was a girl who wore a short short skirt and a short top. One could see her pubic hair. It was hard on us boys ;) I believe there is a reasonable middle ground where men and women show some modesty and cover themselves properly in public places.
As far as Sarkozy is concerned, he should be given a burqa to hide his face after making so many gaffes. He should leave religion alone.

Iran: Promoters of Reform and Change
It is deplorable what is happening in Iran. Whether it is the supporters of Ahmadinejad or Rafsanjani doing the killing, it is nonetheless reprehensible. I say Rafsanjani as he the major player in all this. However, is it really about reform and change? Let us look at some of the promoters of this "reform and change."
John McCain: The same John McCain who sang "bomb, bomb, bomb Iran." If he had won the election he would have either carried out his intentions or given the go ahead to Netanyahu of Israel to do it.
Lindsey Graham: He is a constant spokesperson for Repugs saying how meek Obama is and that the US must support the demonstrators for change and reform in Iran. Another neo-con. Does he really have Iran's interest in mind? Also he was the guy in the inner circle of McCain during the election.
Nicholas Sarkozy of France: Here is another neo-con. He quickly replaced Britain's Tony Blair as the poodle of George W. Bush and came to the US to pay homage to his American Idol Bush. Bush was saber rattling against Iran before he left Whitehouse. Is Bush's poodle Sarkozy a reliable advocate for reform and change in Iran.
Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel: The man who very much wanted to bomb Iran but did not get the green light from the Obama Whitehouse to do it. Is he an authentic spokesperson for change in Iran? Since he could not bomb Iran is it possible that he sent his Mossad agents into Iran to stir up trouble?
Rafsanjani: He is the major player in the current turmoil in Iran. He is the guy who is pulling the strings of Mousavi. A very powerful man in Iran however he lost the elections to Ahmadinejad in 2005 and is a pretty sore loser. Him and Ahmadinejad do not get along.
It is these kinds of supporters which makes one wonder if the current struggle in Iran is for change or just a struggle between religious hardliners using the general public as pawns. Maybe in the future some leader will come along who is truly for change and only then can one expect genuine change in Iran.

Harper and Sarkozy: Voodoo Doll
French folks have produced a Sarkozy Voodoo doll with pins and needles and all. Every time someone feels mad at Sarkozy he/she can poke needles in the doll. Sarkozy is not pleased at all and he is suing the makers of the doll. He does not like needles poked in the doll.
I have a proposition for an entrepreneurial type, to produce similar dolls for our “beloved” leader Harper so that people have same opportunities in Canada as France. If you make lot of money share some of it with me as I gave you the idea.

Sarah Palin speaks to Sarkozy ;)
CKOI's comedy duo, "Les Justiciers Masques" got Palin good. Almost seven minutes, and she didn't catch on. She didn't even seem to know the name of Canada's Prime Minister, even though she's supposedly worked with Canada on the Pipeline.
