Rick Perry and Mitt Romney: October 11 Debate

I watched the October 11, 2011 GOP presidential candidates debate. Romney and Perry got tough with each other.

Caution: Language is quite strong.

Pastor Robert Jeffress calls Mormonism a cult

Robert Jeffress is a kook and this kook supports Rick Perry. He does not consider Mitt Romney a Christian as he is a Mormon. Rick Perry has not disassociated himself from this kook. That speaks volumes about Rick Perry.

Rick Perry, Born Again Christian

Picture from the Associated Press.

The Huffington Post had an interesting story on Rick Perry's faith, on how he turned to christianity, and exploring the details behind this conversion.

I don't know if Perry will be nominated and win the presidency, but he is an interesting personality.

Life remains a mystery for me, no single theory can explain its complexity. Just consider the amount of software in just one small human finger, how its movements are determined by a central control centre called the brain. The brain itself consists of an exceptionally complex software.

Rick Perry: New Star of Repugs

His book “Fed Up” was published recently. In this book he writes “Social Security a “failure and an “illegal Ponzi scheme,”..
Some say his book will haunt him and he should change the name of his book from “Fed Up” to “F’ Up”.

Rick Perry and The Reality of Democracy

A long time ago there were kings everywhere who controlled public life. As time went on these kings were overthrown and replaced by mostly dictators. Somewhere along the way the idea of democracy was born. Democracy is supposed to give the power to the general public and leaders were/are elected. The idea of Democracy is “the government of the people, by the people, for the people”. But is it really the case? It looks now the rich and powerful control high offices of presidents and prime ministers. The rich give leaders money to get elected and leaders in turn work for the rich. So has anything really changed? Not too much I will say.

The following video is a good example of where a representative of the Bank of America tells Perry “…we will help you out." That is how Perry got himself elected three times as governor of Texas - lots of dough from the rich. It is not the people but money rules – whosoever got the dough runs the show.

Governor Rick Perry can get the nomination and win the Presidential election

If he gives his speeches as in the video below:

Since he puts his both feet in his mouth when he speaks it is better for him that he just moves his lips and says nothing. He is otherwise charismatic and this way he may win the nomination and election.:)

Rick Perry: “Bush defended us from freedom"

Rick Perry, Governor of Texas, once in a while speaks the truth. I could not agree with him more when he said “George W. Bush did a incredible job in the presidency, defending us from freedom.” What a dreadful world Bush/Cheney left for many generations to come. Look at the airport security, complete nude scans, you cannot carry any liquid. After shoe-bomber and underwear bomber soon you may not be able to wear shoes or underwear in an airplane – hence keeping that damn freedom away. Read more here.

Keith Olbermann - Special Comment on Torture

Keith Olbermann wants operatives from the Bush administration to be prosecuted. He has a point, but Obama has been put in a difficult situation, he is almost facing a revolt. First the despicable tea-bagging demonstrations which seem to have the backing of white supremacists, and now the Governor of Texas, Rick Perry, threatening to take his state out of the union. Obvious expressions of hatred towards a black President and also intimidation.

Obama is being put in a very difficult situation which amounts to torture of the President. What the Governor is saying is that you might have managed to get elected, but we will not let you govern. It does not look good, and Obama has to move very carefully.

I sincerely hope that the United States will not end up like the USSR in the early-1990s. The United States sure does not need rightwing nuts like Rick Perry. I never thought I would say this, but "God help America" and save it from characters like Rick Perry and associates such as Tom Delay.
