Recommend this postOK, this is evolution? Has human behaviour really changed over thousands of years... because it doesn't look that way to me. True we may express ourselves differently, but the underlying emotions are fundamentally the same.
Also, how does evolution explain the complex nature of human behaviour? Anger, love and hatred. Human existence and nature is so complex that it cannot be simply explained away through the evolution process.
I am inclined to believe the physical side of evolution... but the intellectual and emotional side remains unexplained to me. I thus remain perplexed.
While tools and technology are evolving, human nature and behaviour is not. True we adapt to new tools and technologies, but change in basic human nature is questionable, and we haven't begun to understand the complexity of it all.
Recommend this postLike The Wingnuterer, I will probably go to hell... but isn't this how God created humanity, in seven days? He must be quite sadistic, look at the mess humans are causing.
Before Creationists get mad at me, wait for my picture on evolution.

Some commentators are saying that Al Gore can save the Democratic Party as Obama and Clinton are causing too much damage through their bitter in-fighting. If that happens, then wouldn't the party be in even bigger trouble and lose credibility as "Democratic" -- after all, Al Gore didn't win a single primary and the last time the Dems tried to install a leader who didn't win any primaries was 1968 when they lost badly.
I hope this is all just a rumour.

Recommend this postI have done my part in poking fun at Mike Huckabee, but you have to admire him for his fairness. I was impressed when I read the following statement by Mike Huckabee on Reverend Jeremiah Wright, Obama's former pastor:
I grew up in a very segregated South. And I think that you have to cut some slack — and I’m going to be probably the only conservative in America who’s going to say something like this, but I’m just telling you — we’ve got to cut some slack to people who grew up being called names, being told, ‘You have to sit in the balcony when you go to the movie. You have to go to the back door to go into the restaurant.’

Obama Scores Richardson Endorsement
The coveted endorsement of Gov. Bill Richardson, D-N.M., went to Barack Obama today, despite Richardson’s tenure as Energy Secretary under Bill Clinton. Richardson praised Obama’s speech on race that he gave Tuesday as one of the key reasons for his endorsement. Click here to read more.

Barack Obama's Speech on Race.
I have to admit, I'm not someone who was swept up in Obamamania and, while I respect the Illinois Senator, politically my feelings about him had been pretty neutral. However, as time goes by, I'm becoming more and more convinced that he's the better candidate for the US Presidency.
In the past, I didn't agree with the comparisons of Obama with Martin Luther King and John F. Kennedy. I had listened to alot of Obama's speeches, and I just didn't see this comparison.
However, his recent speech on race-relations changed my mind. I thought it was powerful how Obama stated he cannot disown his pastor, despite his controversial comments, because he was family like his white grandmother who at times made disparaging remarks about blacks. With that comparison, Obama highlighted the experiences of many people who have a relative, pastor, or close associate who holds views with which they disagree.
I went on the internet and listened to Martin Luther King's "I have a dream" speech and to JFK's "Ask not what you can do for your country" speech. I believe that Obama's speech on race relations and on his pastor ranks with these great speeches.
I sincerely believe that Americans should nominate and elect Barack Obama President, he provides a new hope for the current generations, and for generations to come, a hope for an America where everyone - regardless of race or religion - can feel an integral part of society.
His speech was fireworks and it will survive for many generations afterwards as an important speech in American history.

Ahmadinejad: Yes, and you won yours in 2000 fair and square.
Bush: Your economy is a mess.
Ahmadinejad: For sure, yours is thriving!
Bush: You're too conservative.
Ahmadinejad: Yes, and you're liberal and progressive.
Bush: You're a warmonger!
Ahmadinejad: Yes, and you have a World record for a peacemaker.
Bush: You're violating human rights.
Ahmadinejad: Sure, you have built a Hilton at Guantanamo Bay and hundreds of human beings are vacationing there.
Bush: You're building nuclear weapons.
Ahmadinejad: Poor you, you have no weapons? Enjoy your retirement.

ELIOT SPITZER made his mark as the "sheriff of Wall Street" and then as the steam-rolling governor of New York state. As the state’s attorney-general he came to prominence by holding New York’s powerful financiers to the highest of ethical standards and earned a reputation for zealously unearthing wrong-doers. It's upsetting how Hillary Clinton exploited our diplomatic foul up. It also boggles the mind that the Harper government and the PMO thought they could, with impunity, mess up the Democratic Primaries in the United States. This will not only damage our relations with the United States, but it's also a major blow to our diplomatic services around the World. Why should any country trust our diplomats now? Any information given to them could be exploited.
Now don't get me wrong, our diplomatic services and personnel are one of the best in the World. However, Harper's operatives have now destroyed that good name and destroyed that reputation.
Maybe, with the money earned from the oil, Stelmach will build a layer of paper money around the Globe to protect it from global warming.
Recommend this postThe way the Ohio and Texas primaries were won by Senator Hillary Clinton is a little disconcerting, as it was due to our Canadian diplomat who wrote an erroneous memo on NAFTA and Obama, and then leaked it where it was exploited by Senators Clinton and McCain. We cannot afford to interfere in the elections of our neighbours, the United States, who are the most powerful country in the World. If Obama wins the Whitehouse, how will this impact our relations with America?
Mr. Harper has too many fiascos on his hands with Karlheinz Schreiber, Cadman, and now this diplomatic mess.
He celebrates with George W. Bush in the Whitehouse. After all, are they not in bed with each other when it comes to foreign policies and the rest?
