Stephen Harper’s Limousine - $1 million to transport
Joseph Harper
When Stephen Harper went to India, he spent over $1 million just to transport his limousine to India and back. This limousine was meant to be for his safety. Was he really that threatened in India? I suppose for him it is only taxpayers money.
Meanwhile, Harper doesn't have money for Attawapiskat, but he has money for this? Where are his priorities? Helping the poor and vulnerable, or fake lakes, gazeebos, and a fleet of armoured cars?

Conrad Black has a talk show
I am in favour of rehabilitating felons but this felon is an exception. He needs no rehabilitation. Especially he must not spread his shenanigans to rest of the world via TV.

Adolph Hitler: Looks can be deceiving
In the following video Hitler looks like a harmless person. He is respectful towards his colleagues, respectful towards women and loves children. He also loves his pet dog. He looks like a normal family man.
Then look at his misdeeds- champion of Aryan nation, responsible for the holocaust and death of 6 million Jews and millions of other minorities. Millions more suffered in his concentration camps. Why don’t we humans learn from our past? Instead of seeking peace all major nations in the world are busy developing more and more lethal weapons. Recommend this post

German Soldiers Growing Breasts
Talking about gender equality. If female soldiers have breasts then why not males too. Maybe Angela Merkel is behind it.;)
"Are they waiting for every single member of the unit to grow breasts before they actually change their drill practices? Maybe, in the mean time, they could at least switch it up a little and alternate the side of the chest that they hit so the men can at least grow a symmetrical rack." Katie Halper

Rob Ford to Stay as Mayor
Rob Ford's removal from office, as mayor of Toronto, overturned. Two more years of this clown? Not good for Toronto's image or reputation. Hopefully in 2014 he will be gone. He has become a complete laughingstock, dragging the city's reputation down with him, I think most Torontonians at this point would like to see him go.
Incompetent, arrogant, anger-prone. Ford is a joke, he's already become a lame duck in many ways with City Council taking a more assertive stand against his insane proposals.

We all know that Orly Taitz is a crazy woman who doesn't give up this birther thing about Obama. Now she has made a new claim, that Obama was born to her, that she was travelling to Africa and went to Kenya and had a fling with a man there. Thus, Obama according to her was born in Kenya, and he was a few months old when she came back to Hawaii. She was young and could not afford to look after a young boy, so she gave him up for adoption. Okay, I'm joking. However, this woman is really and totally crazy.
Now she's making claims that Obama violated election laws, especially in Connecticut and that if he does come to the state, there are two people who can help her get Obama arrested. Wow! Would she get any more crazy.

King Harper - Idle No More
Stephen Harper's feelings were hurt when some Chiefs of First Nations demanded that they would meet Harper only if the Governor General was there as well. Harper considers himself P.M and King of Canada. Recommend this post

Idle No More
Harper's neglect of First Nations, indifference to them, has come to a head, with the Idle No More protests taking off across the country. The protests are against the poor state of housing on reserves like Attawapiskat whose chief, Theresa Spence, has gone on hunger strike. The protests are also against legislation like Bill C-45 which would replace the Navigable Waters Protection Act with new legislation removing protections against obstructions - such as pipelines and dams - from most lakes and rivers in the country. This no doubt so Harper can appease his friends in the oil industry.
Harper scrapped the Kelowna Accord upon becoming prime minister in 2006, something negotiated over a long period by Prime Minister Martin, provincial governments and First Nations. Kelowna would've done a lot to address poverty in First Nations communities.
Harper took a long time to respond to Spence and then played politics with the location of the meeting and whether the Governor General would be present, this is heartless considering her health and life are at risk. First Nations are divided on the issue of meeting with Harper (on location, on whether the Governor General should be present) - with AFN Chief Shawn Atleo being marginalized by meeting with Harper where many other chiefs refused to.
There is a turbulence in Canada we have not seen, could Harper's regime of heartless neo-conservatism be finally coming apart?

Young Woman Shot by Taliban Recovering
She is very brave, great to hear that Malala is recovering. It is appalling that she - a young teenage girl - was shot by the Taliban for promoting something that is a basic human right, education for girls. Very intelligent, she and her family are dedicated to the cause of promoting education, even at great personal risk. Amazing dedication. The Taliban hoped to silence Malala, but instead their appalling action has given more attention to her cause globally, beyond her native Pakistan. You can click here for the story.
It is worth remembering too, the Taliban was essentially the creation of the United States, funded and supported by the American government to fight communists in Afghanistan during the 1980s. Today, the results of this realpolitik are painfully clear. Recommend this post

Idle No More: Native Issues
Attawapiskat Chief Theresa Spence, centre, with supporters Danny Matatawabin, left,
and Angela Bercier in a teepee on Victoria Island in Ottawa during her hunger strike
Julie Oliver/Postmedia News
This is an insightful column from Chantal Hebert, on the Idle No More movement and the challenges it presents to Harper. She talks about the widespread resonance of the Idle No More movement - a social movement seeking to redress the appalling conditions facing First Nations - with those Canadians who are unhappy with the Harper Conservatives.
Harper's neglect of First Nations is unbelievable, the way he flippantly dealt with Attawapiskat, auditing rather than seeking to properly deal with the problems of poverty and substandard housing there. He has proposed/passed an array of legislation that tramples on First Nations and treaty rights - including bill C-45 which would allow obstructions of waterways (such as pipelines and dams) with little oversight on a vast range of waterways (lakes and rivers) in Canada.
Harper is using his majority to run roughshod over environmental and First Nations rights. He must be stopped, hopefully Idle No More will do that. Recommend this post

Fiscal Cliff Negotiations: Boehner To Harry Reid "Go f**k yourself."
So this is the state of Republican Congressional leadership. With tension around fiscal cliff negotiations in the House of Representatives, Speaker of the House John Boehner is reported to have pointed at Senate majority leader - Democrat Harry Reid - and said, "Go f**k yourself."
"What are you talking about?" Reid asked.
Boehner's reply again, "Go f**k yourself" - and I guess then he started crying.
