As you know human life, other than their own, did not matter for ancient kings. The multinationals operate the same way. The environmental destruction they cause results in loss of human lives and destruction of habitats for other living creatures. All in the name of profits. Then there are wars fought over fossil fuels such as in Iraq where hundreds of thousands and may be a millions people have perished. Human brutality to fellow humans continues.
One such brutality was committed against the indigenous people of Ecuador's Amazon:
"For the indigenous people of Ecuador's blemished Amazon, it doesn't matter whether Chevron is to blame, or Texaco, or the state-owned company Petroecuador.
