Terrorists must be doing a great job. They do not have to come to North America and still they can cause paranoia for us. Nine members of a Muslim family from Washington D.C were removed from the Airtran flight basically because of the way they were dressed and looked. Most of them are born American. I wonder what kind of impact this had on the children accompanying these adults.
Let's face it, there are fanatics in all societies and religions but the paranoia which the Bush administration has caused will linger around for a while. These people were cleared by the FBI but AirTran still refused to fly them – paranoia taken to a higher stage. We live in a global village and the only way to reduce trouble in the world is to reduce injustices. Oppressed societies are fertile ground to recruit extremists.
Saudi Arabia is a friend of the US. Guess where Al-Queda has its origins – Saudi Arabia. It is a government supported by the US which many Saudis do not like. We have to get to the bottom of the problem to resolve it, and not by treating the symptoms alone.
