United States Senator Bernie Sanders has condemned the killings in Gaza and called for an immediate resumption of peace talks between the Palestinians and the Israelis, something which he emphasizes that President Bush has failed to do. Senator Sanders is an Independent from Vermont and is also among the Jewish members of Congress.
