Albert Einstein: More pearls of wisdom

“Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind. “

Albert Einstein is one of my favourite scientists/philosophers. His Relativity Theory is well-known and he is also famous for his research on the atom.

I understand he died a very unhappy man because his findings on the atom were used to develop atomic bombs which Americans used on Nagasaki and Hiroshima during WWII, resulting in hundreds of thousands of deaths. The impact of these bombs continues to this day in birth defects.

  2. 900ft J., thank you for the link. Chilling and sad indeed. And yet nuclear weapons’ proliferation continues. We humans never learn.

  3. Even more chilling, LeDaro, is that some of the scientists felt no regret at all. Ed ward Teller, for example, regarded the development of the atomic bomb as an absolute necessity.

  4. Thank you for the link, Lorne.

I had hard time listening to the bastard. He is conscience -dead.
