Jim Flaherty: Cost cutting consultants

The Harper government is firm that they will save a lot of money by hiring the consulting firm of Deloitte Inc. at the cost of $90,000 a day - a total cost of $19.8 million. Now Jim Flaherty, the Minister of Finance, has chimed in and says that the government made the right decision. I wonder how much Deloitte Inc. donated to Conservatives during the last federal election?

  1. That is a tactic so as those very intelligent, outstanding politicans don't have to think and don't have to find a way to handle the countries problems. When it doesn't work they can blame those cos t cutting consultants. Way to go.

  2. Anyong, you're quite right about the blame game. But also I am interested how much money was donated to Cons campaign in the last election by Deloitte Inc. and since then.

  3. What's the point in paying a finance minister a huge salary if they're going to outsource their job? This should make it clear to Canadians that the Harper government simply isn't up to the job. Flaherty has no experience working in the financial sector. His only experience with money has been taking it from people during his career as an ambulance-chasing lawyer.
