Former US Ambassador Edward Peck on Israeli invasion of food flotilla

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

Former US Ambassador Edward Peck was on one of the Gaza aid ships that came under attack by Israeli forces. He gives a firsthand and a great account of the Israeli aggression. Netanyahu looks more and more like a gigantic buffoon and a liar.

  1. A bunch of lies. Oh my, the evil blockade is enforced by soldiers with paintball guns and protective masks.

This is simply a matter of borders control. Next time you are in an airport, try to ask if you can skip the security checks. The security guys must believe you that you do not carry any weapons with you, right?

Yasser Arafat is signed on an agreement with Yitzhak Rabin that says that Israel will control the sea. This was intentional to ensure Iran does not have an home base in Gaza.

  2. Mike, give up. Enforcing stupid blockade on international waters? That is plain stupid and criminal and that is the reputation your favourite state and its idiot leader Nutyahoo is getting.

  3. Mike, I try to do a post on any injustice I hear of. I thought I said enough about Israel’s criminal behaviour as the world says now but you're providing me more incentive. It is not only criminal behaviour but trying to justify it is even worse.

  4. I am not a fan of Netanyahu either.

Is the blockade stupid because it makes it harder for Palestinians to murder Israeli civilians? I guess it is a stupid reason in your view.

Are you in search for injustices to write about? Here is a list, all crimes are against civilians in areas that inside the pre-1967 borders.

Since you write about any injustice you hear of, I expect you to write about all the above, unless you think it is justified...

  5. Mike, give up. I am not going to see injustice through your coloured glasses. The whole world condemns Israel unjust behaviour. Face it.

I am glad that you don't like Nutyahoo as he is no friend of Israel given his utterly idiotic and disastrous behaviour.

  6. I didn't ask you to see injustice through my colored glasses. I asked you to read the facts, and report them. This is wikipedia and BBC I linked to. Not Israeli propaganda.

But both of us know you will not do that, since the facts do not matter when you are biased. You are far from being the liberal you say you are.

  7. When General Petraeus says that Israel is endangering US soldiers then there is something wrong. When 60% European say that Israel is the greatest danger to the world peace then there is something wrong. Grow up and face the world like an adult.

  8. I happened to grow up already.

I spent 27 years of my life in Israel. For the first 20 something years I believed peace could be achieved if Israel would compromise here and compromise there.

Each time Israel had done a step in this direction, the situation just got worse, and more violence was directed at it.

I am not saying that whatever Israel does is good. But it is trapped between maintaining its public image and protecting itself.

The one with immature views, dude, is you (and the 60% of europeans you mention). Stay there in Canada and draw cartoons for your entertainment, while Israel has to make decisions while rockets fall on our heads. But do not criticize things you can not understand.

  9. Mike, I think you're a good soul but I cannot agree with your views. So we agree to disagree.

I wish Israel and you well but Israel's policies and actions have turned the whole world off. That should tell you something.

No I did not always stay in Canada and I did visit parts of Europe and they're not immature. You're wrong my friend. Best wishes.
