Cherniak and Clones

I was removed from so-called Liblogs (Cherniaklogs) yesterday. I feel so relieved because I do not have to put up with the abuse from him and his clones. Earlier, some of my pictures were deleted from Cherniaklogs because they revealed the slaughter of women and children in Gaza by the Israeli army. Cherniak and clones called them pornographic. I suppose the Israeli government and army likes to create this kind of pornography. It makes me shudder at their cold-bloodedness.

I do not know if it was my picture of the Vatican Church which finally did it, as Cherniak deleted that picture right away. A Vatican spokesperson had said that Gaza was a concentration camp.

Many other Libloggers were harassed. James Curran was one of them. He was harassed by Ezra Levant of National Com-Post and others. Ezra Levant and other neo-cons are part of the Cherniak gang. Curran was accused of being anti-Semitic because he criticized Israel as well. I protested this harrassment. Then MoS was removed from Cherniaklogs because he was exposing Israel's atrocities. Maybe all this had a cumulative impact on Cherniak and he removed me from Cherniaklogs. I am glad he did because I do not wish to participate in an ideology of slaughter and bloodshed. If I knew this side of Cherniak early on, I would have never participated in Cherniaklogs to begin with.

It is highly disturbing that Cherniak and associate have been justifying the bloodshed and slaughter in Gaza. Note to my fellow Libloggers, if you're still participating in Cherniaklogs then you are wittingly or unwittingly participating in a blog aggregate which openly supports Israel's bloodshed. If you're comfortable with that, then that is your prerogative.

  1. LeDaro,

I doubt it was the picture. It was the title "Gaza is a Concentration Camp" & the content of the post. After all, concentration camps were only for Jews during WW2 & these camps do not exist anywhere else in the world, don't you know. Cherniak = tunnel vision.

  2. Oh, & I'm sorry you were bounced out of Liblogs as well. It's sickening what is going on there.

  3. Penlan, "Gaza is a Concentration Camp" was Reuters headline. I just reproduced it. I suppose Cherniak will try and delete that too.

Actually I am relieved that I am no longer party to Cherniaklogs propaganda.

  4. After what has been happening with Liblogs the past few days, I am beginning to think that this (or some version of it) is an idea whose time has come.

No reflection AT ALL on the remaining members of Liblogs when I say that, I can not longer trust its aggregator not to continue with some form of censorship.

An unfortunate reality, but there is it.

  5. Thankfully, Canada has never had concentration camps. Cough, cough!

In my thinking, a concentration camp doesn't need to be just a death camp. A concentration camp is a place where a group of people are imprisonned together and living in difficult and crowded conditions with little to no access to outside resouces such as food, proper clothing, and resources for good shelter.

  6. I think it is OK if liberal bloggers are pro-Israeli, pro-Palestinian, or somewhere in between. I think it is more important for me to find out why bloggers hold different views. I do encourage discussion among bloggers, even those with whom I disagree.

War is not pretty. It is difficult to see stark images of the consequences of war and its related abuses. Dead Gazan babies look awful. So, too, do dead Holocaust victims. Most of us remember the photo or film of the South Vietnamese soldier shooting a Vietnamese man in the side of the head. Not pretty.

  7. I believe that the first use of the term "concentration camp" was British, a description of the camps they set up in South Africa over a century ago during the Boer War (although I suspect that such "camps" have existed through time in many places).

Ghetto is probably a better word for Gaza, although some of the refugee camps within Gaza are probably turning into concentration camps right now.

Cherniak is absurd. He always has reminded me a lot of Ezra, so I'm not surprised to hear that they're, y'know, palling around together.

  8. Thank you folks for all the comments. I am generally in agreement with your point of view. Gaza is a concentration camp under Skinny Dipper's definition. I have no qualms in saying that Canada’s past is not rosy. Slavery. I have seen houses in places where slaves were kept no matter how much the folks in the community tried to hide them. If people like Cherniak can get any power you may see them again.

Also the way Natives have been treated in the past may qualify and then the Japanese detention camps during Second World War.

South Vietnamese soldier shooting a Vietnamese man in the side of the head.
It was general Nguyen Ngoc Loan executing a VC prisoner...

The AP press photographer won a Pulitzer for it.
Eddie Adams, the photographer wrote about it:
"The general killed the Viet Cong; I killed the general with my camera. Still photographs are the most powerful weapon in the world. People believe them, but photographs do lie, even without manipulation. They are only half-truths...What the photograph didn't say was, 'What would you do if you were the general at that time and place on that hot day, and you caught the so-called bad guy after he blew away one, two or three American soldiers?"
    And upon General Loan's death.
"The guy was a hero. America should be crying. I just hate to see him go this way, without people knowing anything about him."

After the fall of Saigon, the general immigrated to the US where he opened a Pizza place.

Part of the point of this, is that we should look beyond the immediate propaganda and see the big picture. It's easy to get caught up in the immediate.

  10. Penlan: Although I agree that the vast majority of those killed in Concentration Camps were Jewish, the Third Reich also sent socialist, communists, the disabled, lesbian, gay and transgender persons and anyone who supported these people or fought the regime. As a lesbian, it is important to me that this part of history not be erased.

You might call that heroism, others would call that an EXECUTION without trial. Hence we have the Geneva convention and the capture of the enemy combatants are made "prisoners of war."
Or would you suggest that McCann be shot in the head also, because war is ugly.
Of course, one could ask a more profound question and wonder what the US was doing in Vietnam in the first place? Sure, give me the propaganda spin.

  14. I thank everybody for your comments. Current brutal actions by the Israeli government are very disturbing. I am convinced now that the government of Israel is a terrorist organization. It is not easy to look at the pictures of all these slaughtered children but unfortunately that is the realty.

I do agree with janfromthebruce. She is quite right. US has carried out too many unfair wars and hence imposed lot of terror on the world. May be Obama will be better. Time will tell.

I was only relating a little background on the photograph.
The legality vis-a-vis the Geneva convention has been debated in this case without some firm conclusions.
The gist of the argument goes that to be covered by the Geneva convention, you have to be in a uniform.

US imperialism has been a "bitch" and we are living the blowback. Yes the Vietnam war was a mistake.
Afghanistan (in the present form), Iraq mistakes also..

As for Israel, I consider them a rogue state with little regard for human life. This incursion into Gaza seem politically motivated....

  17. Again with the lies: Mound demanded to be removed from Liblogs. He wasn't kicked off; he demanded it!

  18. Werner,

MoS did NOT demand to be removed from Liblogs. He did say, more than once, that because of his views he expected to be removed & didn't care, at that point, if he was.

Again, he did NOT ask/DEMAND, as you put it, to be bounced out.

  19. Werner Patels, interesting. I suppose Palestinian women and children demanded to be slaughtered. Please spare me of your distorted logic.

  20. > I suppose Palestinian women and children demanded to be slaughtered.

No, I expect they plead with Hamas not to use their homes and schools as launching pads, but since Hamas well understands the propaganda value of dead Palestinians, they do anyway.

You really should stop pretending you care about Palestinans. Hamas uses them as human shields, and when they die, you celebrate, as Hamas does, in an orgy of hatred, the resulting propaganda victory.
