GM: It is the profits which matter

If some lives are lost then that is not so important to big corporations like GM. That is the world we live in. It is a very sad state of affairs.

  1. I understand that corporations are now regarded as persons under American law. If so, it's time for that person called GM to be charged with homicide, LD.

  2. Lorne, you're absolutely right. The CEO says she knew nothing and she has been with the company for the past 30 years. Yeh! Sun will rise from the west tomorrow.

  3. Considering their stock holdings, it's a very queer place the US government is at with General Motors. One wonders if action might have been taken sooner in other circumstances. If GM's inaction was about money, so too perhaps was the inaction of the regulator. Don't tell me that the NHTSA knew nothing.

  4. Elliott Taylor, good points. I think you're right. They all seem to be the members of the same family - self-interest comes first.
