A new trend in Hollywood? Could be given the popularity of the movie Son of God, a bible-themed movie about the life of Jesus. Mega-churches are helping to spread the word and there is a strong demand it seems. What other bible-themed movies could be coming? What is Hollywood trying to do, make everyone religious, or are they just in it for money?
Hi, LeDaro. I've seen several interviews given by the producers, Mark Burnett and Roma Downey--who, while they may work out of Hollywood, are not 'Hollywood'. They believed that the telling of the story of the Son of God, deserved to stand alone, uninterrupted by commerce. Unlike the series they produced--The Bible Story (on History TV). You're likely familiar with other work they've done. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteP.S. ...liberals following Christ, don't try to convince people who haven't yet decided to, that they're ignorant heathen and doomed to hell. And we don't commit crimes against humanity, while falsley leading our country to invade and destroy another. In (the right-wing-hijacked) name of my Lord and Savior. Imagine that.
ReplyDeleteThe sequel will be based on this, I hope.

liberalandlovingit, thank you for your comment. I respect folks' beliefs including yours.
ReplyDeleteMark Burnett and Roma Downey may be sincere folks but Hollywood is all about money.
There are 2 billion Christians in the world and even if 20-30 % watch the movie it stands to make billions.
Filcher, you're funny, my friend. :)
