Will U.S. attack on Syria lead to a much bigger war?

Saddam Hussein and Gaddafi had no friends. However, in the case of Assad he has close ties with Iran, Hezbollah in Lebanon. After W. Bush installed Shiite government in Iraq it brought Iran and Iraq closer. Will Iraq take Assad's side and go with him? Then there are the big players like Russia and China on Assad's side. If Russia gets involved then are we looking at a World III? U.S. is taking a very risky gamble. European countries are urging U.S. to hold off strike on Syria. It does not look good.

Hezbollah has already shown determination to fight for Syria. What is the solution of the current crisis in Syria?

  1. Sadly, the kind of risks you describe here, LeDaro, never seems to penetrate the American consciousness. Despite all of their failed incursions over the years, their hubris seems unshakable. We can only hope that more moderate voices will prevail in the Syrian situation.
