"Tonight NASA confirmed that after 36 years in space "Voyager I" has left the solar system as we know it. That’s farther than any manmade object has gone before, into interstellar space about 11 and a half billion miles away. NASA says just in case it runs into intelligent life it is carrying a gold-plated record with photos and songs from back on planet earth."
