This comparison is more than a bit premature. For example, the NYT reports today 40,000 homeless in New York City alone and their plight is being compounded by the arrival of another storm and, worse, freezing weather.
The more troubling issue is the frequency and enormity of these hurricanes and storms. There have been too many wake-up calls now that something is exceptionally wrong and global warming is real.
