There is a good possibility. Alberta elections to be watched today. I hope it is not the trend in the country i.e. moving far-right.

  1. Alberta, yes. The country, no. BC should show the way when the NDP defeats Christy Clark's faux BC Liberals. Then the fight begins between Dix and Smith. Dix will prevail.

  2. Jymn, I hope you're right about the country.

It looks B.C is headed for NDP government. Bye bye faux BC Liberals.

  3. As contrarian as we are in BC, voting in Wild Rose in Alberta will almost certainly seal the deal for an NDP return to power here this fall, or whenever the foundering Liberals decide to call it a day. The wake from the FastCats must have dissipated by now. In any event I'll help knock on every door in West End to ensure the NDP prevails.

I suppose it is too much to hope for a Wild Rose minority with the NDP holding the balance of power? Now *that* would be a change! But it's a long shot given the numbers of progressive voters who are saying they'll strategically vote PC to try and head off a Wild Rose majority.

I have trouble believing that Albertans would be mad enough to hand a majority to an untested party, but who knows?

  4. Elliott Taylor,

PCs in Alberta won with a sizeable majority. Good for them.
