The World Ends Tomorrow: May 21st, 2011

Harold Camping - the prophet of doom.

According to 89 year old radio personality Harold Camping it’ll be all over by tomorrow. However, he intends to keep his $72 million; he has spent millions and millions putting up billboards in many cities in the US and even Canada.

One wonders what his motivations are and where he got all this money. It looks that most of his money came through donations. It is also possible that he has agreements with some big retail chains that if he spreads the word people will spend a lot of money; probably in return he got millions in donations from them.

There are many gullible people buying into his predictions. The guy is 89 years old, but apparently the need to accumulate more money is still there. So folks tomorrow, if not this world, we should be waving at each other from the heavens or wherever we end up :)

Lawrence O’Donnell of MSNBC has an interesting piece on Harold Camping.

  2. Mark, what you have against me? I still have 24 hours. Why you want me gone so soon? :) I have every right to see the fireworks.

  3. Take me Jeebus, I'm ready. I watched a clip of this joker put up by Red Tory. His lunacy came through when he said it would happen at 6 p.m. LOCAL TIME. So you Easterners should be getting it at 2 p.m. Pacific time and I'll have four extra hours on you. It's a real bitch if you're in Christchurch. They go first.

“Nonbelievers, they hold, will be left behind to perish along with the world over the next five months.”
