Well known Irish writer and humourist Bernard Shaw, in the 19th century, was visiting the US and speaking to a big crowd. He stated, “Half the Americans are stupid”. The crowd got very angry and demanded an apology. Bernard Shaw said no problem and went back to the podium and said, “I am sorry. Half the Americans are not stupid”. He got standing ovation. What does that tell you? Now with the airport security and healthcare reform fiascos you can understand what he meant.
