No more war in Iraq but a bigger war in Afghanistan

Huffington Post has this interesting picture and story on Obama.

He is ending the war in Iraq and leaving behind a shattered country and escalating the war in Afghanistan. Does he really expect to win in Afghanistan? Surely both wars can be blamed on Bush era but this escalation in Afghanistan gives total ownership to Obama. It looks a quagmire to me with no satisfactory end in sight. Read the full story here.

  1. There are 50,000 US troops in Iraq, and more than 75,000 private mercenaries paid by US taxpayers. New units are deploying to Iraq as I type this.

No one is ending the war in Iraq. That is a lie. Please don't buy it and please don't spread it.

  2. L-girl, you're right. Thanks for pointing that out. I have heard about the mercenaries too. Yes it was wrong to say that the war has ended in Iraq.

  3. Thank you very much. I think we have to try to counter the spin with the truth wherever we can.
