Obama bows again...

...this time in front of the Japanese king and queen. Did he not learn from his experience when he did the same to the King of Saudi Arabia which also drew a lot of criticism.

No one should be bowing in front of another human being because they are "royalty". The King and Queen of Japan were conceived the same way as the rest of the humanity and born the same way as rest of the humanity. There is nothing special about them other than that their forefathers were despots. So Barack Obama, stand up straight and be a man.

The only people who deserve some bow are people like Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King and Mother Teresa as they did a lot for humanity. As far as king and queens are concerned, they should be lined up, given a yellow uniform, and retired.

  1. It's considered a sign of respect. I've no problem with an American president who's actually respectful of other cultures.

You sound unfortunately like alot of the hysterical right-wingers down south with this criticism.

  2. Scott, you got it all wrong my friend. It has nothing to do with right wing. I am too far away from the right if you read my blog. I am generally not for monarchy and despots. These kings are remnants of such despotism.
