Benjamin Netanyahu and Ehud Barak Coalition

Netanyahu and Barak is an interesting coalition. The Labour Party is supposed to be on the left and Netanyahu's Likud party is on the far right. How is Ehud Barak justifying this coalition other than hunger for power or protecting the Labour Party from total annihilation? With Netanyahu at head of government, do not expect any peace with the neighbours. As George Galloway, British MP who Harper government labelled as a terrorist and banned entry to Canada, rightly said, with Netanyahu there will be no peace between the Palestinians and the state of Israel, with no peace between Palestine and Israel there will be no peace in the Middle East and with no peace in the Middle East there will be no peace in the world. Too bad for the world.

Ehud Barak is a more of a "fig-leaf" for Netanyahu for his far right views. As Ophir Pines-Paz, a prominent left wing Knesset member said, "Yitzhak Rabin, Golda Meir and Moshe Sharett (all former Labour prime ministers) are turning over in their graves," referring to this coalition. Also included in the coalition is Avigdor Lieberman of the fanatic far right party of Yisrael Beitenu. Ehud Barak is proving that power is one of the strongest addictive drug known to humankind.
