Rod Blagojevich: a political Octopus or an Albatross.

Rod Blagojevich Governor of Illinois (or soon to be former Governor) is the strangest character to come along in recent days. What was he thinking? Or, can he think at all? Either he is completely naïve or down right unstable. Actively seeking a price to replace Barack Obama in the Senate. He is an octopus whose tentacles reached everywhere. Since Barack Obama and Rahm Emmanuel had nothing to gain in their dealings with him, they may escape unscathed, especially Obama. Blagojevich and Obama did not get along, and the Governor used some choice words for the President-elect. But the bigger victim in all this is Jesse Jackson Jr. He was a rising star, very bright with a promising career. I think he would have been a great replacement for Obama in the Senate. Now all that has been put in doubt. I watched him being interviewed and you can see the anguish in Mr. Jackson's face. I hope Blagojevich will not succeed in destroying his career.

Blagojevich what a breed. I suppose world is made up of all kinds.
