To start with, I do not have the full details about the controversy between Liberal 4ever and RT. However, I have no reason to doubt what RT is saying on his blog about him and his family being threatened. I believe such threats are totally wrong and contrary to Liberal beliefs. This Liberal 4ever has left certain comments on this blog as well which were anything but "liberal." From what I recollect, he made derogatory comments with regards to Senator Barack Obama which further shows the ignorance of Liberal 4ever. Therefore I join the protest with MoS and RT, however for the time being I will not stop blogging, but if Liblogs does not take serious action about characters like Liberal 4ever, then I will seriously consider it.
I don't thoroughly read Liblogs, but there are some great contributors such as RT and MoS. It will be unfortunate to lose such contributors if Liblogs does not take actions against those who pretend to be liberal but are, in reality, far from it.

This blogger was very very rude to Red Tory. I have read this blogger before and he did not sound too Liberal to me.. In Fact, after what he said about the American election,Obama and McCain, I thought He was Conservative!

To me, also, he comes across as a Con. He writes mostly on U.S. politics & loves Fox News - especially Hannity. He has said so in a post he did yesterday, I think.
ReplyDeleteHe uses Obama's middle name constantly, often capitalized, & hates Obama. He's been on a "I love Palin" bent for awhile now & I have no idea why he's on Liblogs blogging roll seeing as he comes across as intensely conservative.
According to some he even uses different nicks to Con troll Lib bloggers & may even post as an "anon" at his own blog. If that is truly the case then he may very well be the one who has revealed personal info about Red Tory & also made the threats against him & his family - never mind the outright lies.
I do not understand why this blogger is allowed to continue at Liblogs. Jason Cherniak has been apprised of the situation & yet has done nothing so far. If he would just go & read some of this guy's postings I think Jason would be shocked & surprised, particularly with a lot of comments that lib4ever has allowed to post, comments that should have been deleted. Unless of course, as I said, lib4ever IS the "anon" commenter. And that this blogger in no way writes "liberal" whatsoever. I thought this was a Liberal blogging site?
This whole situation needs to be resolved. I, for one, do not want to see RT or MoS leave Liblogs. Both write interesting, thought provoking posts. It would be a sad day to see them leave.
Lizt and Penlan: Thank you for your comments. I totally agree with you. I have no problem people expressing their views but to be derogatory and threatening is too much. I do not think Lib4ever is a Liberal at all. His main purpose has been to harass Lib bloggers. If administers do not remove this troll from the Liblog then I will be requesting in near future that I be removed from Liblog as MoS and RT have.

ReplyDeleteI remember that Jason said in one of his posts, not that long ago, that he hadn't had time in a long time to read any other postings from bloggers because he was too busy. Which means he hadn't noticed what lib4evr was writing.
But RT brought all the latest junk to Jason's attention the other day, so if jason hasn't gone & read anything on the guys blog then he wouldn't know what's been going on.
Someone needs to get a handle on this & if not Jason then I don't know who, unfortunately.
Let's hope something is done soon.
Penlan, if Jason is the administrator still then I think he should have taken an action by now. His excuse of being busy is running out of time.
ReplyDeleteName one thing I posted that was derogatory about obama, I did use his middle name but by now I was getting tired of been called racist, Just because I did not support him, and explaned why, (economics),so I intentionaly put the middle name to irritate some, since that is, his middle name, what is derogatory, and for your readers like lizt, please, point to one of my post that was rude???? read before you write and you will see that I went out of my way to stay on the high road. I support mccains economic policies of tax break, and rt, did not like it, called me stupid, and his supporters.....well... again I offered to delete my post if he would delete his, nothing...so you are been manipulated by rt. If his rampant anti americanism is a good thing, then wow...I never said I like hanity, I said I like hanity and colmes, you know , left and right???? centrist, both sides... jezz people, read.....
ReplyDeleteCentrist, I do not like McCain because he is a warmonger and flip-flopper. May be partially it has to do with his age. He is not a bad person but he does not know better. If I remember correctly you used the word b.o for Senator Barack Obama. It is like B.S. some Belinda Stronach hater liked to use.
ReplyDeleteWars never solve problems. Iraq war was a blunder and McCain supported it and continues to do that. Only country which benefited from that war was Iran. We gained nothing but US lost over 4000 soldiers and now it is breading ground for so-called terrorists when Saddam never allowed them as he was threatened by them. Now the whole middle-eastern region is much more unstable and no one is safe there. Anyway we will never agree on our views because may be our life experiences are different.
