You put the belly on the wrong fellow , did you not? What a pair!
True! But for a Santa he needs bigger belly :) Also Irene Mathyssen had problem with him and not the "other guy".
I usually like your work, but this one sux. This issue sux. Why does everyone automatically believe what the males say? Did anyone check the history files on that machine before he wiped it clean?
Berlynn: Sorry you did not like it. May be you are right. James Moore was showing his girlfriend in a bikini looks a little suspicious. However, when Irene Mathyssen backed off then she left herself open to jokes.
It is part of women's training to back off when aggressive males attack. The House is a HUGE bastion of sexism, until women's participation reaches about 30%. Then, real change can happen. Until then, it's a very unsafe place for a woman, as tis incident indicates.
I do not disagree with you. However, in this case she would have the support of her caucus and that of Liberals and may be even Bloc. It is such a sensitive issue.
Sorry, LeDaro, but I think it is foolish to believe that there are that many progressive and supportive males in the House of Commons. I doubt she would have had enough support to see it through, and therefore backed off. It's a matter of personal safety, and women tend to that moment by moment.
Calling people names, such as “foolish”, will not promote the cause. It only reveals bitterness on your part and not dedication to the cause. Bitterness begets bitterness and leads to dark abyss of nothingness. Let us avoid that.
I didn't call anyone foolish; I suggested that thought patterns / beliefs which suggest that there are "progressive and supportive males in the House of Commons" are foolish. If you have a problem with that, that's your issue, not mine!I have a problem right now with your paternalism.
You are being very humble when you say that you have "a problem". Given your approach to life, I bet, you have multitude of problems. Good luck.
