As well, Mr Harper went against his promise not to tax income trusts (which even the Libs agreed was the right thing to do), do you know why he did this? It was because big business saw a loophole they could exploit and major players like Telus, Bell and GM stood to take 60-80 billion out of the tax base, so the government decided to tax them.
