Southwest Airlines' dress code - Kyla Ebbert

Southwest fashion police set no-fly zone
As the mercury climbed over 100 on Labor Day, I called Southwest Airlines with a not entirely hypothetical question:

Could a young woman board a flight to Tucson today wearing a bikini top?

Angelique, the agent who took my call, assured me that a young woman could.

"We don't have a problem with it if she's covered up in all the right spots," she said. "We don't have a dress code."

Tell that to Kyla Ebbert, who was escorted off a Southwest Airlines flight two months ago for wearing an outfit far less revealing than a bikini top. Click here to read more.

  1. GET YOUR STORY STRAIGHT>>> this girl is a terribly trashy and inappropriately dressed young lady and couldn't manage to not flash her crotch on the TODAY Show. Has anyone considered if she was wearing underwear that day? or even a bra. I know her personally--and my guess was that she wasn't. What happened to dressing appropriately when you fly? bravo to the southwest guy!

  2. Elle B, if she was not wearing underwear then it makes sense that she was asked to leave. Should Southwest Airlines not defend themselves and point that out.

    Thanks for visiting.

  3. There are always 2 sides to every story.

Not knowing her I can only assume that she was wearing that outfit as intended.

Low on the hip and high on the crotch. Even so IF she was wearing the proper underclothes that outfit was fine to fly in.

If not then highly inappropriate and she should have been fined for indecent exposure.

  4. Jeremy, I agree with you. Also we have to give her benefit of doubt that she was wearing proper underclothing otherwise Southwest Airlines would have been talking about it non-stop.
