Julie Couillard and Pamela Anderson - Shake, Shake, Shake (Video)

In last couple of days my animation of Julie Couillard and Pamela Anderson has become very popular. I received close to 4000 hits in two days. I decided I will add some romantic music to it. If nothing else Maxime Bernie has made Canadian politics more interesting as otherwise our politicians are so boring. If there is a sex scandal it is mostly Britain, U.S and more recently Italy. Look at our boring leaders at the federal level.

Julie Couillard and Maxime Bernier

Remember the Julie Couillard and Maxime Bernier romance which ended Bernier’s political life – at least the rising political star fell flat. However, Julie Couillard got a boost to her career after the notoriety and managed to write a book “My Story (or Mon histoire)” and probably made good money from it. Now enjoy the video of my past animation.

Stephen Harper’s Tiger Woods moment

Stephen Harper is hearing from the world beyond, like Tiger Woods. He can get a new ad for his Conservative Party like Tiger Woods for Nike. What is amazing is that in the case of Bernier the situation seems much more serious. Bernier, when he was Minister of Foreign Affairs, had left some very sensitive papers related to defence at his then girlfriend Julie Couillard's apartment. Not only that, Couillard was involved with a biker gang who were known for illegal activities. You would think his case was very serious. But he was only fired from the cabinet but not from the caucus. Also, there have been rumours about him rejoining cabinet.

In case of Helena Guergis, it did not look that serious yet she was not only fired from the cabinet but also was kicked out from caucus. It did not stop there. Harper contacted the RCMP and Commissioner of Ethics for further investigations. Yet the public does not know why. The only excuse given so far is that some third party has made serious allegations. It happened on a Thursday night and Harper took those extraordinary measures within 24 hours on a Friday. It is baffling. Why would he not reveal the allegations? The plot thickens.

Julie Couillard is back

Julie Couillard’s book "My Story" is released. According to some reviews, it has some good stuff in it. Such as Maxime Bernier telling her that Stephen Harper was too fat, that he asked her to throw the confidential material pertaining to defence documents into the trashcan, and alot more good stuff.

Should Maxime Bernier and Harper and Co. be worried during this election season? It depends how the media deals with this book and how opposition parties utilize the tasty information. Nonetheless it makes the election season more exciting.

Julie Couillard and Maxime Bernier - ongoing saga

According to Bernier, it's all Julie Couillard's fault. She stole the confidential documents.
Such an easy ruse, she is rather a vulnerable woman in this situation as her ex is the former "Honourable" Foreign Affairs Minister, therefore he has more credibility in his own head. This is a new low that Bernier has hit to rehabilitate himself. Also a new low for the Harper Government. Would they go any lower? Just watch them!

The Couillard-Bernier Affair

I have done my share of pictures on Julie Couillard and Maxime Bernier. When I think about the scandal, what becomes clear to me is that the sole responsibility for what happened rests on the shoulders of Bernier. No matter how much he tries to weasel out of it, this reality remains.

To begin with, let's briefly look at Madame Couillard's life story. She grew up in a very tough environment where her father was an addict who associated with shadowy characters. In that environment, she tried to survive as best as she knew how -- she married a biker who was killed and she might have been a nude dancer, but that is the kind of life she found herself in.

When she met Bernier, she likely saw an opportunity to rehabilitate herself and improve her life.

As for checking Couillard's background, the full responsibility for that lay with now ex-Minister Bernier because it was him - not her - who was the Foreign Affairs Minister. He was the one who had the responsibility to screen for potential conflicts. Furthermore, Bernier had the resources to run such checks as would have been necessary. If, after this, Bernier felt comfortable that there was no conflict of interest with his duties, and if he was confident that she was removed from her past life, then there would have been a lot less cause for concern.

If Couillard's intention in entering a relationship with Bernier was to seek favours for herself and her associates for money, then again the responsibility lay with Bernier - not her - to do a proper background check.

Looking at the whole saga, one does feel sorry for Couillard and the type of life she had to survive in. One doesn't feel the same with regards to Bernier however because he should have known better. Given his carelessness and poor judgment in this regard, Bernier doesn't qualify to be a public servant.

Julie Couillard: A bug was found in her bedroom ;)

Surprise, Surprise!
Bed 'bug' story raises doubts
It was a revelation straight out of a dime-store spy novel, conjuring images of the dashing foreign minister swapping state secrets in bed with his voluptuous paramour, while men in baseball caps and sunglasses listen from the flower truck parked outside. Click here to read more.
