Orly Weinerman: Gaddafi’s girlfriend

It is a strange love story. Orly Weinerman is an Israeli model and soap opera actress and in love with Saif Gaddafi who is Muammar Gaddafi’s son and is in Libyan custody. He is under trial in Libya and possible punishment could be death sentence. She is appealing former British Prime Minister Tony Blair to intervene to save Saif Gaddafi’s life.

“According to the Sunday Times, the dictator's son previously described Blair as a personal friend of the family and claimed that the former PM acted as a consultant to the Libyan Investment Authority -- something Blair has always denied.”

Love knows no boundaries – geographical or religious.

Barack Obama: Will He Be Re-Elected?

Will Barack Obama's foreign policy in Egypt and Libya help him or hurt him? I don't want to defend Hosni Mubarak here, but he was a friend to the west, now it appears that extreme religious elements are taking over the country.

With Libya, Gaddafi was becoming more friendly towards the west. Now, like Egypt, the people who have replaced him are unknowns. They are likely aligned with religious extremist groups.

America - under George W. Bush and now Obama - has been too focused on being a police-man (imperialist) overseas and has not been focusing on the home-front. Unemployment and recession are serious problems in the United States.

The first president Bush basked in victory - and high poll numbers - from the First Gulf War. However, by the time of the 1992 election, the focus had shifted to Americans' number one concern as recession hit, jobs.

We all know how that election turned out. Will Obama face a similar fate?

Libya: The Real Reason for Intervention

Black Gold.

”Western security, construction and infrastructure companies that see profit-making opportunities receding in Iraq and Afghanistan have turned their sights on Libya…….. Entrepreneurs are abuzz about the business potential of a country ….., plus the competitive advantage of Libyan gratitude toward the United States and its NATO partners.”

Amnesty International: Rebels also carried out torture and killings

“Rebels as well as pro-Gaddafi forces have perpetrated killings, torture and other abuses during the uprising against the Libyan regime, say human rights investigators.” The Guardian

So when Harper and other NATO nations intervened in Libya they said they were doing to it protect Libyans from atrocities by Gadhafi. Now it turns out that rebels were doing the same – torture and killing. Sooo! What was the purpose of our mission again?? If rebels torture and kill and NATO bombs and kills innocent civilians then it is for liberation but if Gaddafi forces do it then it is crimes against the humanity. Moreover, rebels were especially cruel to black fighters and have been accused of racism. What a hypocritical world we live in!
There should have been a better way to deal with the civil war in Libya.

Muammar Gadaffi: Condoleezza Rice Joins His Harem

George W. Bush is desperate for oil. He will do anything. He is trying to squeeze any drop of oil he can anywhere and everywhere. Gadaffi of Libya, who was considered a pariah by the US up to recently, is now the darling of George W. Bush. Bush will draw the last drop of oil he can draw after drawing the blood of a million or so Iraqis with little success to take over their oil fields completely. Now that the Iraqi government is kicking out the US army, George W. Bush and John McCain have declared victory in Iraq. Oil's well which ends well. Bush and his Dick Cheney will stop at nothing. Now they're encouraging Condi to join the harem of Gadaffi to lure some oil out of him.

Note: Now that Harper has called an election, maybe I should come back to Canada and do more pictures on Canada. I will try. Keep checking.

My predictions for the election, it will be a coalition government of the Liberals and the NDP.
